Great challenges

Great relationships with colleagues and stakeholders, busy day, I enjoy interacting with employees and giving advice from all levels, challenging part about my job is to act for 3 People , meet deadline, come back home at around 09:30 pm almost every week

Pros: learn more about accountability
Cons: long working hours

Great place for experience gained

It is a good company for one to gain experience in the field and the most enjoyable thing I get time to spend with my family and relationship with the co workers its very good.I have learn more I don't want to lie.and I can work on my own on the standby duties.the challenges is to make sure of the plant availability 24 hours of the day to keep production on going.

Pros: less growth opportunities
Cons: normal working hours just on breakdowns we work more if necessary

Growth, career advancement

Gained leadership skills, ability to work under pressure. Iniatiating projects up to commissioning stage. Given Opportunity to improve plant. Team work and better communication between departments. Respect between persons and respect for company property.

I work well with people

I started working at Samancor in 2010 and ive managed to obtain two Promotions, I started as a Millwright and promoted to be a Production/Operations Supervisor where I served for 3 years then I was promoted to Maintenance department as a Maintenance Supervisor. I have obtain 100% plant availability for 9 months plant availability on my first year as a Maintenance Supervisor

Pros: i had an opportunity to grow
Cons: 12 hours
