Samancor is one of the best companies when it comes to career development. The work environment is relaxed and leadership skills are sharpened as the superiors are based at the central offices whilst we are based at the shafts with the mine managers and given the ranks to make decisions promptly.

Great place to learn people and communication skills, planning and time management

Samancor are a great company that pits their employees first, zero harm to the people or the environment, time allocation, excellent people management

Vast experience and result orientated

A good working environment with a fleet of machines with the availability that ranges between 89% and 97%. Environment that is full of middle aged men and women who are being developed to become competent personnel. A couple of junior employees that were assessed and found competent to take up employment as quality personnel. Learnt a lot on how to manage pressure, train/ coach apprentices. Public relations and self motivation Enjoying reaching set targets and a team that believes in teamwork and respect Most challenging things are less development to employees who are keen to go further with their careers.

System

Samancor has the best systems ever it makes the month end or reporting easier for the finance people and easier to understand. Its a production driven environment that would require one to always think out of the box and fast as one is not allowed to delay production or disturb the flow of it. One learned to work with different people from different backgrounds and professionalism is key.

Excellent learning curve

Working conditions are not good,To whom it may concern. I have been recognized as a true multi tasker and a friendly personality which I possess, working in a team environments easy for me. My positive attitude overcomes any detrimental waves that come in the way of my career
