This was an excellent learning curve for me dealing with different cultures

Robust Company.. Awesome diversity, staff members portray a robust Team spirit..Extremely pressurized organization, but people tend to take pressures calmly in thier own strides. I have learned lots about development for further education for the less fortunate and the empathy and compassion shared is phoenominal. With this specific company , there is time for fun, entertainment and Business split evenly. People portray respect, empathy and sympathy towards each other

Pros: More motivation and development for staff to better their skills
Cons: Should not work over time when not paid for the hours

A day at the office

A typical day at my office is doing admin work such as answering email queries, telephone enquiries and dealing with projects. Helping Project Managers to make sure that projects run smoothly. I also help other stakeholders (external) who are involved on the projects with whatever information they need from our office.

Pros: The pros of working in this company are you get to learn everyday. one gets exposed to different projects and different human characters which one never experienced before. For me that is a good thing. I like learning because I believe as long as one lives, learning is essential.
Cons: cons of working in this company are bosses having favouritism.

My Drama

-I am responsible for the development of implementation plans based on HR Priorities since pre-and-post the Section 197 (b) transfer, and the delivery of HR practices from Head Office to the Colleges of Education (CET) Colleges in the nine provinces. -The high level post-transfer issues include change management, standardising conditions of service for all affected employees, decentralisation of HR systems, policies/ standard operating procedures (thus training thereof). -Growth points: consultation sessions with different stakeholders (staff, management and unions), change management, project management. -Exciting days: strategizing/ brainstorming with different stakeholders on crisis issues and coming up with solutions, seeing the implementation of those solutions -Challenging aspects of my job: getting "buy-In" from the department's Senior Management team.

Pros: Making an impact to the bigger scheme of things (the knowledge that the sector will be a better one in the future)
Cons: The "red-tapes" that one needs to overcome

It was an amazing learning curve for me.

By working at my company for the last few months has been an educative experience. I have learnt how to work well with my colleagues and that you need to have patience with people. ' The most challenging aspect of the job is when clients come to me asking about information I have not yet recieved from my boss.

Pros: There's a great opportunity to be employed
Cons: There are already too many interns in the admin area
