I have been management accountant since 2000 October
I'm responsible for budget planning, coordination, control & monitoring; customer & product profitability; variance analysis; management reports; forecasting; accrual accounting; ad hoc costing; tender evaluations; internal control; rates increase process; coordination steering committee & ISO project steering committee, wages negotiations, etc. Prior to this I worked as a Cost Analyst from Oct 2000 - Mar 2003. I'm currently enrolled for CIMA. I am a team player and more coaching. I have learnt that I am a good mentor. I enjoy the most when every one comply and conform to the system and legislations. The most challenging is when you need to do decision based on the information from the operations but they withhold the information.

One can fulfil one's role. Company must be decisive and quick and pay managers adequately
Identify trends and patterns and develop response strategies. Ensure review and development of policies and procedures. Prepare Exco and Board reports analyse and make recommendations. Monitors and ensures compliance to agreements. Ensure speedy resolution of issues and proper preparations for CCMA. Guides fair and consistent handling of disciplinary and grievance matters. Support and guide line managers. Promote good relations with all stakeholders. I have learnt to deliver on my promises, don't promise what is not within your control, deal with various labour parties in a fair consistent manner, always keep your interactions honest, objective and factual, do not make favours for any one. I enjoy problem solving and engaging with parties to the mutual benefit of all. The most difficult part of the job is having to deal with matters with political overtones and having to defend oneself/the department against unfounded and/or unworthy allegations levelled against one.
Pros: One is being listened to, the good effort put in to make things work being acknowledged. One has a permanent job.
Cons: Long hours, unreasonable demands of labour, unfair accusations from organised labour by personalising issues, top management entertaining unreasoble claimd of labour. Delays by executives to make decisions.

Best Practice to learn Electronics/Electrical Principles and Pressure management
My current company offers a good environment for learning, with plenty of experienced Guys who are willing to teach and mentor. I have been privileged to experience first hand Electronics and Electrical systems and Principles in application throughout the Field. I enjoy the challenges that come with requirement to fix Aircraft electrical systems, with minimum error margin and the minimum time allocated.
Pros: Overtime is self managed and can work flexible hours that are custom made by myself.
Cons: Growth within the company is minimum due to numbers of technicians on the floor.

Exciting industry
I am permanently on day shift. I have great relationship with team members and other work teams. I have learnt the importance of team work and effective customer relationship. Having the resilient team during trying times is the most enjoyable. The industry is excitingly demanding with regulated periodic changes.

A great Company with exciting Aircrafts
The Company gives great exposure to Aircraft Technology..The operation system is seamless and great to use in an Aviation Industry..The variety of Aircraft from B737 to A330 gives great exposure to a wide challenge of Aircraft Systems, which prepares an individual for different Companies around the world..

Worst company to work for
Favoratism, exits. Lack of professionalism. Minimal teamwork. Lack of opportunity for promotion or career development. Only positives are little pressure with actual work. Lots of overtime available.

I have Engineering as well as Senior Management exposure
Regrettably, i am not valued at SAA because im Indian. However, i am constantly drained forInstitutional memory & expected to coach n mentor black managers without financial reward. I dont care what im called n would just like to get paid for what i know.
