I love Mondays, mostly because the day flies by in a flash. On a given day, during the early hours you will find me speaking to the clients, finding out – proactively – what their priorities are for the week, meeting with team for half hour to communicate the clients’ needs and organizing the team schedules around the client’s priorities.“I have a excellent professional relationship with my co workers, which gel quite nicely with the company environment. People assists one another.We work as a team to solve problems and learn new skills to reach our team objectives.I made some good friends for life, who today can vouch for me on a professional basis.“

Independent, hardworking and positive individual

Upgrading of theory into practical

Great experience seeing the world

Working at SAA has been a blast. Someone said that if you enjoy what you do, you won't work a day in your life. I've always been in the service industry, while doing matric I got a job at Edgars as a sales assistant that i think no longer exist. The experience gained from Edgars ultimately got me into SAA. In my 17yrs at SAA I've made a lot of friends never a dull moment and also met a lot of celebrities. What I've learnt from my time at SAA is that you work with individuals, all people are different and that assumptions can get you in trouble. Most challenging aspect of my job came when I got married. Being away from home for long periods at a time began to take its toll on my family life and marriage I tried to get on the domestic flight pool but I was only dedicated for woman that had babies. A manager told my that they are not going to allow that anymore ( just domestic flights) for crew as they needed all crew to be flexible.

Pros: Great opportunity to see the world.
Cons: Lots of days away from home

Great learning curve

Im currently yeam based and i work very well with my team and a good understanding with my teamleaders.what i enjoy most about my job is that there is no typical day,everyday different scenario and challenges as we do different flights on different weather conditions and aircraft serviceability conditions which all leads to decisions that must satisfy our customers.i have learnt alot from saa operations as it has tought me to be good team player and a great coordinator between departments and a good communicator(internaly and externaly)to clients.

My excellent working experience

I am a call center agent for saa I have been working for saa for the past 4 for years. My duties for everyday was to make flight reservations for customers and assist customers on providing with product information. I learnt more information about the air line industry and dealing with different types of customers and how to handle them. The relationship with my co workers was good due to we treated each other like family. What I enjoy the most is that the environment was user friendly and customers where understanding, the challenges was growth and dealing with difficult passengers sometimes.

Leadership skills accuracy meeting dead lines

I Liaised with overseas suppliers regarding discrepancies, repair costs, strip down reports, coordinate retrofit programmers, inventory control and stock taking for the unit/aircraft components, solve procurement related problems, shipping of dangerous goods, coordinate warranties between vendors and SAAT, I learnt accuracy, checking on my work timeously, meet the turn around time and making sure the documents are up to date and correct both in coming and outgoing, I learnt how to work as a team and meet the needs of the organization planning and organizing, information seeking, achievement and deadline orientation, initiative, organizational awareness teamwork and cooperation customer service orientation, decision making and able to work under pressure confidentiality attended Aug situations after hours and how to go an extra mile.
