SA Steelworks Reviews

Great place for a person that just qualified

Overall it's not bad but there are room for improvement like different departments are treated differently. Hours are very long to work and there are no balance between family and work.

Pros: Great learning about the trade opportunity
Cons: Long working hours

Everyday has its own challenges.

A typical day start with a walk around of the plant. Attending meetings to gather information about the previous day's plant performance. I'm a good teamplayer as I mingle very quick with fellow employees. I learnt a lot about furnaces and related processes. Everday comes with new challenges.

Pros: Great team work between departments
Cons: Little family time
