SA Greetings Reviews

Great work experience.

My typical work day starts at 06h30. Small meetings with staff to plan work ahead for the day. Set plan in motion. Although stressful, and high paced, with results expected immediately in a Corporate environment, the overall working environment is pleasant and work flows smoothly like a well oiled machine. I have learnt patience. I have learned to focus my energy more on listening than talking. I enjoy interactions with new people and visiting new places. I enjoy travelling. Most challenging aspect would be always staying on top of my game. Even if I do slip, the challenge would be to stay motivated to pick it up again and keep moving! To constantly keep staff motivated, including in times of political, economical, religious conflict. Challenging staff and myself to always see the bigger picture, to find immediate resolutions to problems and to keep moving forward.

Pros: Opportunity to work overseas as SAG is affiliated with USG and UKG
Cons: No medical aid.

Heavy work loads

The company is closed , so to speak. Communication is so well demands are very high. Feedback is rediculously qued up even when not neccesary. At times we have 3 different spreadsheets to fill in that provide the same information but are all required with pressure on the side. Whilst leasing with sales staff that have 3 times the pressure. For instance Christmas season, after it its bts merchandising and xmas uplift, as well as valentine merchandising. my co-workers are kind, that includes office and sales team. We understand the pressures and try to support each other. Typical work day is head in the screen, ear on the phone no time to take lunch. Challenging is explaining to the team why we are re-requesting the same thing they just did, 2 weeks ago at times is 3 days ago yet we insist its different feedback.

Pros: learned about Syspro and Rapid trade. Skills of the trade
Cons: No room for growth from my view.

Being a store controller at SAG is a good platform to leap into a sales rep position anywhere

Sa greetings needs resiliant store controllers who can withstand the pressure of daily operations and more importantly oprrations during the seasons (valentines day, fathers day etc). Beyond that its a great space to learn how to manage store managers and employees alike. Hours are decent. There is a fair amount of physical labour involved

Pros: Freedom to work within your own parameters, great place to gain experience as a sales person
Cons: Physical labour daily, disconnect from rest of company

Managing learning curve

The company that I work for is very competitive. It is the market leader in its respective fields thus the work gets heavy and stressful as we have to maintain the gap between us and competition. We also have to be the benchmark and our sales should always reflect that. The only tiring thing is the feedback. They use old paper methods which can be time consuming and eats time that should spent in the trade

Pros: Great opportunity for growth especially management
Cons: Sleep outs and long drive can be harmful for the body

Great working environment

Friendly staff from executives, team work, helpful, everyone does a bit more to assist wherever they can. not a huge company, most of the staff works in the warehouse and a few in the office, it gets busy but it does not get too hectic, manageable. Trust is a big thing, nobody gets micro managed, all that is required is to be on time and for the work to get done and show. one of the best companies ive worked for , but personal growth in the company would be very slow as its not really a big company, not many positions to take up in the office.

Pros: Great envirnmonment
Cons: not much opportunity for growth
