Excellent learning experience
Looking for a new venture. Started at Nonke Petroleum.. Worked for 5 years.. Moved to unitrans also 5 years. Presently at Reef Tankers. The reason for 5 years is the contractor works for Total SA delivering fuel. Contracts are issued to the transporter for 5 years. So after 5 years a new company comes in and generally take the staff from the previous company. Looking to relocate if the need be just for a permanent position. I started as a general worker and worked y way up to now a shift manager. I always try and motivate my team in doing better. I council.. And give credit when needed. My most challenging aspect is over festive season or holidays we extremely busy... Customers orders need to go out.. U have customers raving but in a good way as all deliveries are achieved.. By thinking in a systematic way.

Loading and offloading in a gantry terminal safely procedures
With great willingness, I am applying for the position of ( Driver code 10 and 14) which was advertised on job placement I'm currently unemployed, I was on a learnership at Reef tankers for a year thats were I got more exposed to trucks safe driving before then I was a code 10 driver at Bidvest stiener as a technician driver. I learned a lot on my previous employer on dangerous goods because my training was more on practicals even more on safety . As a truck driver I have experience with loads restraint procedures, planning the shortest and safest routes, and working long hours. I would welcome a chance to meet you and talk about my qualifications and experience. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Good day, hope you are well, I would like to be considered for the logistics position as I feel I would be best fit. I have the relevant knowledge as I have completed my honours in Transport Economics and have an understanding of Logistics and transport efficiency and effectiveness. I also have knowledge on transport policies, regulations, restrictions,storage,warehousing and documentation required to transport goods. I have experience as a Fleet Controller in the fuel industry and scheduling.I am currently doing my internship with Reef Tankers and I have experience in working shift work. Daily my work revolves around holding Briefing meetings before Despatching drivers, working with customer queries, working on SAP, booking our vehicles for maintenance and repairs and scheduling.

They are racist
Racist we are called with names they put white people before blacks, they don't appreciate hardwork always give awards to white people and protecting them at all costs. Management does not pay black people for over time and bonuses

I have gained experience in various fields like maintenance HR and admin problem solving
I enjoy working in the Fuel transport industry because of the diversity in this industry. My topical work day was to oversee the work of my controllers and drivers working under me and that their duties was performed accurately. A lot of my time at work was spend on coaching and mentoring staff.
Pros: It gave me work satisfaction
Cons: The hours was long

Excellent learning curve
rn new thingworking in an FMCG industry - petroleum & Chemical, vast knowledge of the supply chain industry, ensure that SLA's are met with every customer, OTIF deliveries are carried out, dealing with customer queries, make things happen, team player, pressurising, you learn new things everyday, you need to think quickly in order to make sure you do not lose a loads everyday, you need to think quickly in order to make sure you do not lose a load
Pros: decent fleet of trucks
Cons: Long hours, management has no respect for the staff, salary does not justify the responsibilities you have
