Reckitt Benckiser Reviews

Good learnerning curve

it is a good company to work for ,management is very supportive and also helps you to gain experience in different fields, typical day at work is Monday where the first thing is to check my mails and see how is my work plan for the week ,it is a safe environment and co workers are friendly ,I have learnt so much like working with different kinds of people which is something that is not easy ,my job is a very challenging and the challenges ..the company floor is small to keep the finished goods especially when all the lines are producing ,then that's where you have to make sure you do the work right and be fast so that the warehouse can take the stock fast to clear the factory floor of the stock.

Pros: great achievements when i was working as a team leader where my plantd were doing very in terms of giving what is expected
Cons: long working hours

Working in a fast paced, ever changing, challenging environment with mulitiple projects and exciting opportunities to grow and develop in role. I am an implementer and enhancer of the organization's human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices. My current organisation is young, ambitious and career driven. We operate in a high performing organisation where results are based on stretched objects and thinking out of the box.

Pros: Great opportunity to be apart of a Global strategy, working on global projects with great learning experiences
Cons: Exremely fast paced. Lean organisation with the emplyee ratio of 1:3

My current job is shift work one week day shift and one week night shift. The relationship with my manager is good because he is someone who listens to my suggestions. My manager started last year and I have learnt a lot from him in terms of quality assurance and control.Working with my manager is what I enjoy most. The challenging aspects is the schedule because mostly I work 6 days a week with one day to rest.

Steppeng stone, career building and Experience gaining

Well its good exposure building company, though its operating standards are not bold as the Company is -We dont have weekly maintanences planned for the machines. -We are qualified artisans but we are hired as operators. -The relationship between lower level employees is not so good with us qualified people, its like we are taking their jobs. -When the machines are running okay giving the best OEE(operating overall Efficiency) no one says anything but when the line is not running, we are called useless. -I am not complaining but all I need is to work as An artisan... Not an operator, I just took this job because of unemployment.

Pros: Well it hires people
Cons: Long hours and flactuating working shifts, has labour brokers who worked there for years, hires qulified artisans as operators.

Learning curve

A typical work day includes set out task for the day to complete and assisting anyone who requires help from me. I have a good relationship with my co-workers as i believe in respecting one another as well as practicing good communication. I have learned a lot from my current company as it is my first professional working experience after my studies. I learnt how to work with people in a professional environment , what business terms mean and analyzing related data ans most importantly how a collective team succeed. What i enjoyed most is the team spirit and team activities.

Pros: Great work environment
Cons: not in field of study

Im a fast learner and reliable person

The good things about my current company is a big company and the inviroment is great. it compiles with the safety regulations. Strict with time and human bad behaviour. My core workers we make a good team we help and love one another. We always reach our daily targets nd monthly targets. Most challenging things is when we ar behind with production due to high demand of stock we stretch work together as a team go extra miles.

Pros: there is a good opportunity of promotions
Cons: we working long hours 6 to 6

Great if looking for international opportunity

A typical day in the life of a buyer at RB means zero structure so a new day everyday. Because procurement reports into global procurement there are global procurement managers for every commodity and therefore we have massive exposure into the commodities and what is happening globally. I think turnover within RB really hinders projects and progress of things also knowledge loss is massive. I have definitely learnt in depth on my commodities relying severly on my suppliers to provide me with the education I needed. I enjoy the pressure and demands that come with this job as I thrive on this. But the lack of process and accountability within the business is completely disheartening. The biggest challenge I face is that I could be working months on a project locally and finally close but the involvement from global just stifles progression.

Pros: Great for international movements
Cons: High employee turnover
