Human Resources background

Typical work day -advise regions on recruitment policy matters, -attend to recruitment complaints, -conduct interviews, -advise line managers on IR matters, -prepare submissions to HR executive advising on requests from regions, in line with policy, -attend payroll queries. Relationship with co-workers - I have two manager colleagues with whom we help each other on a daily basis, Key Learnings -policy formulation and implementation, -influencing and engaging CEO and Executives, -ability to assert my self when engaging with senior executives, -supply chain management processes. I enjoy making a difference in employee lives and getting employees understand overall company strategy and how they fit in, through their roles Non compliance to policies by line and having to arrest those challenges

Pros: flexibility required
Cons: flexible working hours

Good

performing enterprise analysis work to identify critical business challenges, threats and weaknesses. Identify, design and recommend solutions to address such, from a process perspective and ICT perspective. Soliciting and documenting business requirements to address on going and adhoc business and user challenges. I work within a team of 6 Business Analysts and 4 project managers we together cooprate on implementation of solutions through the Project Management framework. I enjoy sharing and debating expertise and insights on solution proposal ideas The biggest challenge in the current job is the constraints and boundaries that constraint me from seeing the solutions into full implementation. there is too much red tape through the existing of multiple PMO units at RAF

Pros: the company has good benefits, pension, medical aid, funeral and bonus
Cons: The biggest challenge in the current job is the constraints and boundaries that constraint me from seeing the solutions into full implementation. there is too much red tape through the existing of multiple PMO units at RAF

Strategic Impact

I lead a 65 member team, that impact on the strategy and operations of the RAF. The job requires a tremendous amount of coordination, integration and stakeholder management. I am excited by the impact that I have made and the legacy I will leave behind when a new opportunity presents itself.

Pros: Great opportunity for business transformation
Cons: Financial instability

Good stepping stone and good learning curve

RAF is a great company to work at, and i learned a lot being an ntern there. Co-workers are good as they transfer their skills. i have learned a lot beyond what i was supposed to learn which was monitoring , as everyone wanted to share what they know to me. the challenging part was to deal with mean users at the daily basis not meaning everyone was mean but others will give you a hard time

Pros: It will be a good stepping stone
Cons: Own transport

Good beginning

This is a good junior post however little chance of promotion, work is repetitive and professionalism is in the low. There is a good balance between social and work life, employees are friendly. There is constant communication with top level management. The work could be more challenging and less red tape.

Pros: Great balance between social and work life, employees are friendly.
Cons: Professionalism and corporation culture is very low.
