Growth potential

Since entering the hotel industry, I have come to find it to be a fast passed environment with lots to learn. I entered the hospitality industry in August 2016 with over 10 years of accounting experience and have learned much during my time with my current group. I now feel it is time to take the next step in my career and learn more about what this industry has to offer. I currently work as an Assistant Financial Controller, overseeing 5 staff members being the Assistant Accountant, Cash Controller, Creditors Controller, Debtors Controller and an Accounts Administrator. I am responsible for driving the month end process, processing journals, submitting tax returns to SARS, checking the petty cash issued during the month and allocating to the relevant expense accounts, checking our daily revenue reports are completed daily and accurately. I process all accounts for our Body Corporate and analyse the balance sheet accounts. I also complete a number of reports for Stats SA.

Great relationship with everyone in general and good working hours Very busy everyday with IR Lack of professionalism though with HODs I enjoy the support of the GM

I'm hard working pason able to work shift's ,I like communicating with people and learn more,I've started working at Radisson blu on 2013 as a room attended but I cross train now I'm a switch board operator

Excellent

Radisson hotel is a good good company always give opportunity to build your self,the executive is friendly with junior members like my manager used to give me his duties so that I can learn more. I've learned to respect one another and love my job coz most of my time I spend with them. The most challenging thing is when the guest have arrived and they put pressure on us offwich their rooms are not ready yet since the departure time is 12 o'clock and the check in time is same that was the most challenging part ever

Excellent learning curve

I am a jack of all trades and a master of none my current profession is a financial administrator,i enjoy my job it is a typical work day,everyone is great to work with and very professional and matured,i have learnt alot since being at this hotel what i enjoy most is working under pressure at my own pace getting work done thats required from me.
