A typical work day at Radiant for the National Logistics Manager.

A typical work day consisted of an early morning meeting with my senior team managing their respective warehouses and work areas. We discussed the challenges that each area is facing and what resources are needed i.e. off loading containers, stock put away to name a few examples. I am a strong believer in building a strong team around me and to be a mentor rather than a boss with with my senior team but at the same time ensuring that the reporting line and the respect for seniority does not fall away. I have learnt to work with every single level of employment in the company in the company, from Director level to the lowest level. I enjoy most when I see the goals achieved and the results came through and the staff is happy. The most challenging part of the job is to ensure that senior management instructions are interpreted, communicated and then action by you and the team. Continuously checking that we are still on track.

Pros: Great working satisfaction
Cons: It does require long working hours now then but if you get it right you can reduce the extended hours

Logistics Supervisor

manage the retail division, manage the dash board and ensure SLA is met. Supervise staff and liaise with courier company on progress of customer orders

Well established company

good peope and company just got bought by ARB. Make sure all sales people getting ready for events are ready with the equipment they need. make sure all adverts are adverised correctly. get new equipment if necessary run events like customer evenings. good working relationships with my boss how to be comfartable working under pressure and timelessly do tasks at the most efficient rate.

Pros: has 3 facilities, cpt, drb and jhb
Cons: very few opportunities for growth
