The job is a good way to start your career after matric. You meet new people all day everyday. It's taught me team work and balancing serving two customers at once.

Learning experience

Normally I get to work and do paperwork, which is yesterday's reconciliation. Clean the store and merchandise where necessary. Then the day begin with customers, assisting them in buying and giving them a good customer service. Fortunately I get along well with my co-workers, if there are any disagreements we resolve them and work continues. Retail is really a learning curve in terms of knowing about customer service and knowing what will best suit the customer. One also learns alot about different kinds of customers and how to handle difficult situations. All in all it's a great experience.

Pros: Great experience, it keeps you busy
Cons: Long working hours, less leaves, standing all day
