All duties are rendered for 3 Companies: VIP Payroll Absenteeism monitoring/reporting Discipline Management Grievance management EE Reporting and implementation Skill Training Merseta compliance of Apprentices Grant applications ATR and WSP Reporting Bank payments Daily cash flow BBBEE Compliance Draft and Implement Policies and Procedures Attend to DRC/CCMA matters Comply with MIBCO Agreement Work with Unions Recruitment/Selection/Appointments Salary (Bonuses/Increments) Performance Reviews Benefits (Pension, Medical Aid, Allowances, Company Vehicles etc.) Enjoy the most: Payroll and Discipline Management Most challenging : Discipline Management I work well with all the Management, Staff and Unions. Daily Banking and Cash flow including EFT transactions Payroll - Monthly BBBEE - compliance Skills Development - all training including scheduling of training and I am the SDF for the Group Equity compliance - recruitment etc Daily interaction with co-workers Grievance and Discipline Management (CCMA Cases, Hearings, etc) Learn you cannot change people but you can change circumstances to accommodate people to the benefit of both the company and staff Not all problems can be resolved, but rather try can make compromises to achieve the best end result Management and Ownership is the most challenging as this impacts on the ability as a Manager i.e. decision making, effective management not always possible
Pros: Learn more about the retail industry, exposure to Skills Developmnt
Cons: Cannot always act in the capacity of Manager due to ownership management style
