Prodigy Finance Reviews

Excellent work environment, not so great work opportunity.

Typically I would get to the office at about 06:30 am in the mornings to avoid traffic. This also allowed me some time to get a lot done, for example run my programs to generate leads or do reporting. I did a lot of research and data capturing to be able to upgrade/expand existing credit models to allow for a larger client base.I did a lot of script writing to automate the then very manual reporting. This meant automating generating the needed data, automating the generation of graphs and the output thereof to ultimately shorten the time span spent to generate the reports and presentations of the reports and better utilise the time spent to understand the reports and how to improve business/models. I eventually resigned, due to team dynamics changing I ended up doing portfolio management, which I did not enjoy at all.

Pros: Vibrant work environment, Not too formal, Open door culture
Cons: Role is not what I interviewed or signed up for.

I totally believe in the purpose.

A typical day starts at 05h30 SAST with a diverse range of challenges/ outputs to cover. The diversification is a highlight and I find it energizing to end the day looking back knowing that I have made a difference/ added value and gained insights in that process.

Pros: Flexibilty, work from home, International travel
Cons: Appetite to address

Good company to work for, not much development.

Great place to work if you're looking for something comfortable and with remote working opportunities. There isn't much growth or career development.

Pros: Good work life balance, Flexible remote working culture, great lunch benefits and events
Cons: No room for career growth and promotions, salary and bonus not commensurate with performance.

Never do nothing

A typical day, consist of making sure the office enevironment is running smoothly for staff to work efficiently. I am the first point of contact for staff with issues. To clients as they ask different kinds of questions. Guests and candidates coming into the office. I have learnt that there is never nothing to do. There’s always room for improvement. My multitasking skills has improved tremendously because of this role. I enjoy creating new processes to better the system in place. The most challenging aspect is trying to play all the roles when staff need your assistance.

Pros: Flexible working hours,
Cons: Limited growth in current position, racism,
