Proconics Reviews

Excelent learning curve

it is good to work with the group of quialified engineers where they will be motivating you everyday. they share almost evrything one would like to know, but the catch is you have to activate them on what you would like to know from them. we have thursday beer gathering the aim is not to drink beer but to socialize together sharing challenges we are coming across on our career path. what i enjoyed most is when everyone is excited that we have received a big switchgear replacement project, and when we go to the kick off meeting questions are being raised where some of us we couldnt answer, through that i have learnt that even if things excites you take a deep breath before you start to work in it. i was one of the guys that makee the whole office loughong or smiling they took me as their child but who is noisy, if am not at the office they will call me and ask me when am i coming back to the office. in short i am a social person

Pros: Greate opportunity to develop yourself
Cons: most of the time you have to manage yourself

Engineer driven

When you are an Engineer at Proconics, you will thrive and climb the ranks in position and opportunity. Unfortunately, for the rest, you stay were you are, unless you know how to properly bullshit people.

Pros: Excellent culture
Cons: Filled with "Ceilings"

Learnt how to deal with pressure and manage my wine and workload

Working with men only in my team can be challenging but builds character. I learn a lot from them daily such as taking things as they come, women tend to panic. Site visits happen here and there and the support from my team is amazing and I’m always there to return the favor. Since I’m a tea lover, coffee breaks keep us sane and able to work even over time. It’s a very good environment. Pressure of deadlines makes the work challenging but being part of a great team motivates the soul to keep going.

Pros: Great environment to learn design skills
Cons: Office not based in jhb. Away from my family
