Looking at a normal working day

A typical working day would be a busy one yet I would still love to be at work because as I said I do love what I do and value my job, as well as spending time with my colleagues, I am a team player so get on well with everyone.

Stepping stone

I am currently having a great experience at PPECB. The company is well organised, professional and takes good care of its employees nation wide, and the relationship between the employees is world class. It is a pity that my contract is coming to and end by the end of March but, like i said, i have learned so much. i hope my experience is enough to open the doors not only here but else where as well for me.

Pros: excellent opportunity not only to get promotion within the company but also elsewhere
Cons: can work long hours, day/night shifts thanks to this company

Excellent for Entry Level and a lot to learn

I really enjoy the output of the company mainly the values of the company that guide us to excel to what is expected from.The atmosphere is pleasant interacting with clients from all levels on a daily bases.Even though we work on seasonal bases but during the busy period of the citrus season we still get time to incinerate with one another. I've so far learned a lot with aspect of the service that we render which is export inspection I don't look at Oranges as oranges now but to me it business with different cultivar's oranges come in.Marking requirements and the exporting requirements from sensitive markets like the EU countries.The most challenging aspects are not receiving updates on time from the department of Agriculture and missing information. Most of all cable theft which affects the turnaround time for our work hence we have to deliver our certificates within 24/hrs. I've learnt a lot since 2014 I joined this organisation and I enjoy the relationship I've gained from my coworkers and clients.

Pros: You become open minded and aware of the food safety critiriar that one should follow
Cons: Not enough room for growth in-terms of promotions

Learning curve

This job has improved my team working and communication skills, for me to complete my daily duties communication channel needs to be very clear. The relationship i have with my colleagues is very good. Whats motivates me to go to work on a daily basis is the relationship i have with my colleagues The most challenging thing with my job is shifts

Pros: This job is a seasonal contract, when citrus season is over there will be nothing for me to do, but only to wait on the following year citrus season
Cons: Working shifts is very challenging

Excellent

Good company that has good treatment of employees and believe in their employees to execute daily task . It gives employees powers to run the whole process of inspection accordingly without hesitating. Equipt employees with skills and other exposure that will enhance the competency of employee .the working time is flexible and it always satisfy customers satisfaction by providing services as requested by clients by following the the mandate of DAFF.indeed its a great company that has growth and empowers its employees to have confidence on them selves.

Exellent learning curve

I started within this company as AETP student year 2015, then i worked on contract basis till now. Its been great experience all theses years.Dealing with clients on a daily basis its not an easy thing but once you reach your goal you appreciate the challenges you've been through. I feel like i nedd a stable job with a stable salary as i am grown within this company. I wod love to explour and experience more

Learning more front -end development and strengthning my back-end development and API implementation

I enjoyed working with my team because the communication between us and we were willing to assist each other. Everyday during the week we have a stand-up people say what they were doing the day before and what they will be working on on the current day. The stand-up were helping us to identify people who need assistance and how far the team from reaching their goal. I enjoyed working with the team because the senior guys were sharing their knowledge to me and whenever we had interns I will share the information also, that is helpful because my knowledge of the tools and technology increasing more and more.

Cons: Working on weekends based on poor planning and manager who does not listen to anyone but himself

Good stepping stone

At has been a great pleasure working for this company, they are professional, passionate and serve thier clients very well. Great workers who execute their daily duties in accordance, always there to help one anonther and ensuring that our clients are assisted where need be. great team work and theynare equally so individually. I have learned getting a job doesn't mean that you have stopped learning, I kept learning everyday and each year one has to adapt to changes. The most challenging aspect would be dealing with difficult clients, you master that, you are an assert.

Accessible and available to add value

I advise and coach managers at all levels on all HR related matters. All employees are free to contact me for advice. I am very much in favour of a customer centered culture in an organization. I analyse and provide reports or make presentations on hr trends and statistics for different forums within the organization. The most challenging part of my job is dealing with retrenchment, outsourcing,restructuring, etc.
