Excellent learning program

I work in the factory different department, different people and different challenges every day. i study the process and try to improve where possible or implement a new method where applicable. i do quality control on the production document, also update the documents that are outdated. I help where possible with 5s principle and try to ensure that even the employees on the factory understand the importance of 5s in their area. i get the opportunity to work with the production manager even works manager. Get the idea of what is going on the production meetings , and also i get to interact with the team leaders, foremen of various department and get to know what their point of view and concerns since they spend all time in the factory. also got the opportunity to understand the whole procedure of building or manufacturing the product.

Pros: exposure to the production and other department

Great eye opener

Working for Powertech was an eye opener. The relationship between the employees and the management is a healthy one. Night shift is the only challenge I have but except that,everything is good.

Pros: The company pays competent salaries n there are posts advertised internally.
Cons: There are strict rules n punishment is meted for every mistake you do,even in line of duty.

Winding, assembling and Maintenance.

My ypical work day is working night shift, worked good with my co- workers, learned good communication skills and team work, enjoyed reaching my daily targets and finding faults and fixing faults was challenging.

ITS IS AN HOURNER TO WORK FOR POWERTECH TRANSFORMERS I MAINLY DEALING WITH RECEIVING MATERIAL ,PROCESSING INVOICES ON SAP,ISSUING CONTIOUS FLOW OF MATERIAL SUPPLY MANAGING MY TEAM I HAVE A GOOD RELATIONSHIP WITH MY CO-WORKERS I LEANT A LOT FROM THIS COMPANY ENVIROMENT MY MOST CHALLENGING ASPECT IS WORKING HARD EVRY DAY GIVING MY 110%BUT I FEEL LIKE AM NOT BEING REWARDED /UNNOTICED

Picking and healthy and safety

Its gratefully to work at the company im working for now, because we work as a team and help each other. And its nice to work with fruit and veg because we must make sure that we don't self expired fruit or veg, but its challenging when the fruit is rotten and we don't have fresh stock to sell to the big retailers, but yeah we manage everything.

Cons: We are working 12 hours daily for seven days the get off days

Procedure of work

At the company we work as a team including the supervisor and foreman approaching the day work how to handle it. Before we go to the work place we do have a green area meeting talking about job and how to solve problems on the job that make me feel happy and enjoy working.

Pros: no promotion at all

Excellent learning curve

I’m just a well focused guy who’s willing to work and learn, at the moment I’m the team leader in my department and I always treat my co workers with respect and I’m always helpful to those in need. I put extra effort on my work hence I’m working overtime, I would say I’m a good team leader as my teams work is always up to date and always using safe method provision, and what I would find challenging is inequality in the workplace as I always find a way to produce good results under any circumstances

I have learnt alot by taking responsibilities in different roles

i have been given so many opportunities as a young Industrial engineer full of energy and determination.i have worked as a production support engineer where i got to work very closely with the top management of the business and the operators in the production floor.i have also been given a role as a charge hand and i was basically working as a foreman and that is where i learnt a lot about people management skills and i have been a master production scheduler of the whole company so i have really learnt a lot as a Powertech transformers employee.

Pros: Good learning opportunities given
Cons: Project funding currently kept very low
