Good maintenance candidate

We do maintenance daily and I am part of the maintenance planner, my co-workers enjoy working with me and have never had clashes with any of them. I have learned many ways of mechanical fitting on machines, importance of maintenance on machines and the relationship between hydraulics, electrical and pneumatic systems.

Pros: This is an intresting industry as it uses Hydraulical power to perform railway operations.
Cons: We work long hours especillay if there is breakdown on machines that needs to perform certain task before deadline.

It was a great experience I've learned

# each day was a different day with different challenges # we were bunch of winners all having a sense goal achievement at the end of the day # working as a team lead to a great success # meeting targets set by the team # to maintain same standards of quality products in different barch numbers.

Best in rail track machines

Specialise with pneumatics from blue brint, system construction, mounting of pneumatics components, bending pipes, crimping, testing the system, trouble shooting the system and commissioning. Assisting on hydraulics, assembling of rail track machines.

Pros: Great opportunities to work in rail industry
Cons: Work over time on weekends

Im a qualified fitter with more than 3year experience on water and hydraulic pumps and pneumatic all types and conveyor belts and crushing plants pulleys and gearbox. Furnaces. Fans and coolers

Excellent learning curve mostly in the rail industry

Big company which provides lots of exposure especially in the rail industry where there is not too many people with the technical aspects and skills in terms of rail maintenance machinery.

Hard working, fast learner, can work independently, can work with team, honesty

The challenging situation in my job is when we experience breakdown when working between trains your mind must be fast thinking to avoid trains delay. Your team must be well organized to overcome breakdown. We are working with hydraulic pump, bearings, v-belt drive, chain drive etc . My working relationship with colleague's is very professional and very good. Our machines are working

Qualified mechanical fiiter

I am a qualified mechanical fiiter with a red seal trade test i am based in the kempton park area. I am a very hard worker and i love to work with my hands. I also have NQF level 2,3 and 4

Good learning curve

The company manufactures the railway machines and lease them to Transnet for the track maintenance. The daily activities are addressed for each employee in-terms of job-cards. I have a good relationship with all employees and im an considerate person to work with. I have learned the importance of safety practices, maintenance planning & scheduling, sticking to the budget during operations to downsize the costs, project management philosophy and people & asset management. The job is quite interesting and the challenges normally comes when there are continuous costly breakdowns.

Pros: Limited promotions due to less capacity.
Cons: Standby shifts and breakdown call outs.

Get to experience different working environments.

My current jobs requires me to move all around the country to maintain different sites. I get to learn different ways of working as every sites differs from the latter.

Pros: Learning opportunities are many.
Cons: Working in different provinces from month to month.

Advance mechanical fittings,electronics fault findings,basic welding and basic painting

I am looking for a stable permant post as where i am now not yet apointed as a fitter for more than a year now. I started working in my current company as an learner operator and promoted to an operator after four year but now i am an acting mechanical fitter for more than a year that is why i want to move to a company which follows their laws as it is because on their green file they meaning it that you only act for 6 months and after u get appointed to the position so i wanna move. I will appreciate your offer.
