Very friendly and relaxed environment

Benefits for all employees inlcude an RA contribution from Pink Elephant as well as a contribution towards Discovery Medical aid. My relationship with my colleagues is a relaxed but professional atmosphere. I have learnt that mutual respect can go a long way when getting rapport with clients as well as colleagues, and I am not afraid to ask for assistance when I am stuck with a problem, and I assist without hesitation, as I never know when I may need a colleague's assistance as well. I enjoy the interaction with my colleagues whether it be working or enjoying our lunch hour playing pool and discussing our lives outside of work. I also enjoy our Pink Drink functions that we have quarterly on a Friday after work, where the entire company gets to enjoy food and beverages and bond together with other departments. Challenging aspects of our jobs include the sometimes unrealistic demands from our client(s) as well as language problems (as we are supporting multiple international languages)

Pros: Great exposure to new technologies, as well as other cultures and languages
Cons: Clients are being supported on a contractual basis, so job stability is always risky

Remarkable learning curve

being a service desk analyst has enhanced my skills in IT such creative and analytical problem solving techniques allowing me to identify client and system issues before connecting remotely into the user terminal I possess Strategic Planning ,and Product knowledge skills from both formal training and professional working experience which has helped me to build a proper rapport with team members,assisting clients and having their systems up and running is the greatest of all its all about making a difference.

1st and 2nd line IT and Technical support Logging and tracking of incidents and requests Logging and communicating all incidents to customers and IT Remote support Troubleshooting skills - office desktop and applications Troubleshooting of Network Related issues (Especially pertaining to LAN; WAN and Telkom related issues) Assist with Printer issues Ability to provide first time resolution by using available tools Identification and escalation of re-occurring problems and incidents Follow up on priority calls Adhere to company policies

Learning centre

I work with a group of young dynamic people. I work for a training and consulting company. I have learnt about the consulting industry and what it entails. the training aspect is interesting especially with the new courses that we have just implemented. this is business relations management professional and DevOps. I enjoy meeting the delegates that come through to our training center and looking for new business with existing clients. My most challenging task I would say, is submitting a tender and waiting for months to hear about who has won it.

They have given me an oppotunity to advance in my IT carrer by enabling me to study while with them.

On a day-to-day basis, I get to work and log calls, escalate other to the correct coordinators and engineers. I also track calls for clients who call in to check when technicians will come on site. I work in a team of 11 people of different races, ethics and religions. I have no any problem working with my team for the past year, in fact, I enjoy working with each individual. I have learnt what good communication and customer can is, as well as the importance of empathizing with the person you are working with.

Pros: Great company
Cons: I could use with a job that is a bit challenging and that helps me enhance my IT skills

I am a dedicated, skilled, problem solving IT Technician with 6 years’ experience in IT environment, previously employed as a (IT Field Technician, Network Administrator and IT Systems Support Technician), with a 3 years recognized National Diploma in Information Communication Technology and a valid driver’s License. I have a strong desire to learn, to be explored and to work with professional group that will offer me the opportunity for career advancement and professional growth. I will be of a value to the organization by delivering a good service to the department and with the knowledge and skill I have acquired I will serve the department to the best of my effort.
