Everyday is a new day in a retail environment you always have to smile and keep customers happy at all times and you treat everybody with dignity and respect including co-workers,work as a team ,help each other grow within the company and I've learnt to care for everybody ,working as a team and growing an extra mile to achieve best results and dealing with difficult customers and problem solving, I enjoy helping people and helping them in making choices putting smile on their faces and meeting new people everyday sharing ideas there's absolutely nothing challenging if u put your mind on something then you will do it one has to be dedicated,patient,honest and be passionate about what they do.

Excellent learning curve

Working at pepcell is a great experience. We live by honesty, passion and resourcefulness. Always welcome customers with a smile and give them the most honest and accurate information about products on sale and promotions. Team work is our daily bread so we are all a happy family and work together as a team to achieve great sales. I am willing to work flexible hours and I've learned that customers don't like to be kept waiting so I am fast on the computer till to process sales. I enjoy working and meeting people from diversed culture's. We also ensure that we always working in a healthy and clean environment. The most challenging thing is that at times I get too many customers at once wanting to be assisted aand the shop is full of customers queuing at the till to be assisted but I always explain to all of them that they will be helped all if they co operate and queue properly.

Excellent learning curve for management level

I am working with 4 staff members and they all have different characters. We deal with customer service and customer complain. I have train two of my staff as a supervisor. I do report every month to my Area manager for to see what challenges we had during the month and our sales. I enjoy solving problems for customers and sharing product knowledge with my staff. I have a dedicated team and resourceful staff. Going to work it bring so much enjoy because I know that I am going to learn a new thing. To see a customer happy after buying it make us proud of the service that we're providing.

Pros: Great opportunity for me to learn more about being a great leader
Cons: It's 8 hours and extra hour when it's busy

Excellence customer service

Pepcell was like a home,they give you a warm welcome.working at pepcell was a great opportunity as they promoted me to supervise the casuals and train them.the relationship wish the co-workers was great we work together as dynamos"sikhulakunye"we present united front. I've learnt how to deal with a difficult customers and challenges at the till point. Mostly I enjoyed working with people and serving the customers.the most challenging aspect is a difficult customers and short at tills.

Communication skills

Well, working at pep has been a great experience. I've learnt a lot in the last 2 and half years than in my whole retail career. From the values of the company of honesty ,passion and resourcefulness of which I apply now to my own personal life,but also to the sikhula kunye culture (which means growing together). The culture has taught me that we need to communicate in a constructive manner and curcial conversations must take place no matter how painful and lastly people need direction , they want to be appreciated for a job well done and lastly they also want to contribute. Pep believes in all people and nothing keeps people more loyal then someone believing in them and their abilities... Challenges I've faced is being able to find a common ground with customers so they are able to let us help them while keeping in line with company policies of repairs and refunds. Working with the remarkable dynamos(staff at pep) in store that can teach you something new every now and again has been my greatest reward.

Pros: Opportunity to study with company financing your studies,recently just finished a 6 months course in Retail Management
Cons: Long hours,but because of the industry we are there is really nothing we can do...
