PennyPinchers Reviews

Excellent working conditions

It was great atmosphere and the management was very motivating and know each employee by name. My colleagues were so family orientated, they made a work place a second home. They were very supportive you would even have to ask for help ,they were always there for help. The valuable lesson I learnt from my last position is , if you communicate effectively and respect each other's job down to the cleaner you will often create productive employees and it will be easy to gather knowledge. The challenge I was faced was with was to discipline staff members, which I learnt to overcome and I was very firm once learnt the ways to go about.

Pros: Very vibrant and family culture environment
Cons: I have reached the ceiling and there is no room for improvement

Excellent working inviroment

Helping customers with their orders, finding stock if we do not what the customer is looking for. Staff are easy going and are always willing to help. I learnt a lot about the building trade and what the customers are wanting. the working inviroment is the best thing about working there. As long as you do your work you will have no problems. Trying to make sure that the deliveries are gone on time and making sure that the customers get the stock in the relevant time frame.

Pros: Great growth oppertunities
Cons: having to make your budget every month

Challenging

The work that I do is very physical and strenuous, too much for me as a young (not very big) woman. As receiver at my work I don't only do the admin but have to keep the workspace tidy as well. I have to receive bulk stock, such as timber, by organising a forklift driver to offload after I have checked the stock. Other stock items get offloaded manually by the suppliers but I have to make sure the stock gets onto the floor. A lot of the times none of the merchandisers are available then I have to carry heavy stock items such as 20litres of paint, 3m copper pipes in bundles, 25kg bulk boxes of nails and many more other heavy products.

Pros: Added benefits
Cons: Hard physical work

Understanding team players and working in a field for hardworkers

I have been inspired and motivated by the people I work with we have a team . The retail building field is tough it allows me to be confident and hard working, we many tasks and it's sometimes difficult but we pull through as a team, I have learned about different types of personalities and how you as a person need to deal with people and customers, being kind and humble is the key to being positive to accomplish your goals.

Pros: I have moved twice from salrs to accounts I was give an opptunity due to hardwork
Cons: growth
