Satisfied but hungry for more

I have been employed by the Pebbles Project an NGO working in the Cape Winelands area for 5 years. I started off as a professional nurse, did a 2 year part time degree in Primary Health Care and have been a qualified Nurse Practitioner since 2016. I also obtained my dispensing licence in 2016. My day consists of seeing acutely ill adults and children, where I diagnose and treat them on a primary health care level. I also do baseline physical assessments for workers of a big company in our area. We also offer Family Planning and Cervical screenings to our female beneficiaries. Lastly I manage a program for pregnant women, where I do workshops on a healthy pregnancy with them. Our aim is to reduce the amount of children born with Fetal Alcohol Syndrome.

Excellent growth opportunity

Conduct site inspections and deliver food at various ECD(early childhood development) and ASC(after school clubs). Great team work and understanding among all staff members. Learned how to speak publicly and to say no without hurting someone else's feelings. i really enjoy The teambuilding and staff meeting activities. and the most challenging aspect of my job is to say no to my colleagues.
