PEAR Africa Reviews

Good learning curve

My day starts at your 6am. I provide 1st line Information Technology Support and do server checks, if a pc (laptop or desktop ) has a problem I'm the 1st person to go check and try to resolve the issue. If I can't then I inform the IT Chief Officer about the problem and we try to resolve the issue.

Pros: Friendly staff
Cons: Low salary

Good learning curve and excellent way of growing personally.

The company has been good to me so far, the managers and senior executives are all knowledgeable about their fields which makes it easier for us juniors to work efficiently. I arrive at work at 6 am even though my shift starts at 6:30. I get along with all employees. I have learnt a lot about the media industry and media monitoring as a whole since arriving here. I take my tea break at 7:30 and my lunch at 11 am. The most challenging aspect about my job is obviously the salary, although I wanted to earn above 6000 it still is better than the national minimum wage.

Pros: Opportunity for self-growth
Cons: Early working hours
