A typical work day would include the following my current employer was a group of companies 23 active companies. we had a lot of intercompany transactions we had a payroll that we administered on behalf of clients of 1 000 plus employees. different sector companies was placed in different entities. we had to do regular loan recons cash flows unions payments pension payments other salary related statutory payments I compiled financials yearly for these entities and deal with auditors where necesary we had companies in mining industry as well where we had inventory and diesel calculations relating to diesel rebates etc. we did vat calculations paye;uif;sdl we did payments on the bank we had skills company I had 6 people reporting to me I learned people skills and BBBEE I enjoy if we have a problem and we solved it Recons was some times a bid of a challenge when the descriptions wasn't clear.

Pros: Had to do with diffent sectors
Cons: No regrets

Budget compilations and monthly comparison and verifications Monthly management accounts and reports General ledger verifications and journals Analytical reporting Cash flows income and expenditure forecasts Accounts receivable management – make sure customers was in terms with agreement -Supplier management – make sure all suppliers recon -Follow up and escalate suppliers with differences Bank Authorizations and cash flow management Inventory controls and assistance and conformations All statutory compliances relating to workman’s compensation and uif – submissions and escalations Vat recons Vat calculations Vat submissions Paye – salary recons Paye – calculations PAYE - Submisions Audits – year end audits preparations and assistance of auditors Commission calculations Management financial department Compliance Asset management HR Follow up and escalate customers that was over terms and at risk
