Excellent Employer and was exposed to a lot of things

A typical day at the office starts with going through lists of documents that has been sent to our Department for Editing. The assignments are then allocated to different Language Practitioners to go through them and give language related advise. I have good working relationship with my team as I am learning a lot from them since they have been in this Industry for quite a long time. There's so many things I have learnt with regard to the language profession within Parliament and the training they have exposed me to, has really assisted in sharpening my knowledge. I enjoy making differences in people's lives by providing the public at large with documents that are well written and easily to comprehend. The most challenging aspects of my job is that we work within strict deadlines and I have majored the art of adhering to deadlines.

More liaison and administrtative than field work oriented.

A huge multiracial workforce representing the diversity of RSA. All eleven languages and probably khoisan are represented in parliament of South Africa.

Not too good.

It was a little bit of experience as we had limited resources and the office we were given was quite small. At the end we had to move as we were on contract.

Pros: Good enough to keep one from unemployment
Cons: Working hours were good.

Experienced and implementing my experience. Conducive to work at.

I am at least six months in the employment. I report to work early and leave late due to work demands most of the time. This due to job responsibilities which cannot be left for the next day. I appreciate my staff as a dedicated pack who always strive for perfection which i am. most challenging is lean staff and some not having the necessary experience. Challenges are lack of coordinated efforts by other stakeholders which results into all role players taken aback.

Pros: Great opportunity for me as this is a promotion much needed
Cons: Lack of coordinated effort and adhoc decisions.
