COMMandla has a wealth of experience in managing SHEQ in major South African and multinational corporations. He started his career with Xstrata Vanadium Division SA as a Safety Officer then moving up to Lonmin Platinum as their Chief Safety Officer. His track record includes SHEQ/Risk Manager position at Murray & Roberts as, well as Head of Department/ SHEQ Manager role with Anglo Platinum, and Executive Manager HSEC and Facilities for Southern African Region with BHP Billiton. Mandla also worked as a BU/ Group SHE Manager with Lafarge Gypsum. Mandla also worked for Evraz Highveld Steel and Vanadium as a General Manager: SHEQ and currently for Pan African Resources PLC (Mining Division) as a Group Manager: SHEQC. Mandla is in possession of a National Diploma in Safety Management, MDP, MMR and Post graduate qualifications from Potchefstroom University, GIBS and UCT Mandla has a deep understanding of the full life cycle of Safety and Health Environment as well as Quality Management systems.

Working environment were there are cliques.

I enjoy being at the operations with the people and understand their challenges.I work well with my operatonal workers.Howveer not so well with corporate colleagues.

Excellent learning curve for me

Safety is the top priority in this business and we need to achieve zero tolerance by doing so the company will be a beacon for investment and opportunity for all
