Life is a learning process

I view life as a learning process in which challenges should be accepted and created. I am ambitious, motivated individual who is detriment and will persevere through everything. I regard myself as being open minded and flexible, believing in myself and my abilities. I am eager to learn and prepared to undergo any training if so required. Because I took pride in my school work, I will be thorough and professional in everything I do. I would like to work in a happy environment that is supportive and challenging and which encourages individual initiative and participation co-operation. I firmly believe that I am more than capable and have the necessary requirements and skills to provide exemplary service. I like to learn everything about the job, the company and all other roles so I can be of assistance at any time.

I am a fast learner and self starter

I spend most of my day giving support to my staff, creating and implementing strategy as well as high level projects and negotiations on purchases and sales of properties as well as JSE submissions and compliance to JSE listings requirements. Recently I have spent a significant amount of time on designing and implementing our new accounting systems as well as ensuring integration with property management and hotel management systems. I have an excellent relationship with my staff and they always feel free to approach me with any issues they have. I enjoy setting and implementing strategy as well as driving change and improving processes within the organisation. The most challenging part is people that are resistant to improving systems and processes because “that’s the way they have always done it”

Not a good company to work for

Don't work for them they have a bad payment record with suppliers Staff moral is low Buildings are old and falling apart due to lack of maintenance Pay is bad andvtgey expect the world

Except

Well work long hours with overtime. But at the same time we are not getting paid as per our work load. offload the line haul truck, inbound all the parcels and scan parcels to each and every courier according to his route. Allocate collections, send problem parcels report daily, dex all the parcels that are not going out for delivery. Run the SLA report and parcels report. To send email and reply to email. To answer phone and make phone calls. To track and trace parcels. To debrief the courier when they are back from the route, induct collections, process it and scan it to the line haul to Johannesburg. Debrief the collections and trip sheet. Close all manifest. Send the close of business report to my superior.

Run the Sub-Saharan region all by myself.

I run the Sub-Saharan region all by myself. I serve key accounts & appoint distributors to further develop the market share. Have a good relationship witH serve key accounts & appoint distributors to further develop the market share. Have a good relationship with management. Most challenging aspect is where I have to take leave, I still have to work as most authorisations e.g; pricing have to be done/initiated by myself.

Pros: Work flexibility & kids tertiary fees covered.
Cons: Long hours & being sole manager with no one to take care of things when am off.

Good learning and teaching experience

Good learning and teaching atmosphere with equal opportunities for each child regardless of individual differences. Well structured one on one curriculum to cater for individual differences.

Excellent experience, company culture a bit weird

Orion provides a very harsh and somewhat unstable working environment with a huge staff turnover which shows no sign of abating The problem of staff turnover is more prevalent among senior management than at the lower levels this situation causes severe problems with continuity
