Excellent Learning Curve

A typical work day will start of with greeting all my colleagues and then start planning my day (as far as possible) and creating a to do list. After that I start by prioritising what is urgent and what is important. I then start doing my work that was distributed to me and should I not know how to do a certain task, I will politely (and charmingly) ask someone to assist me. The job is quite demanding and the system is not always as fast as I wish for it to be, but I try to stay calm and do what I can to the best of my abilities. I have a very good working relationship with my colleagues and always try to help where I can. I have learnt that people are all different and that we can all learn something from somebody everyday. I enjoy working with people and it's most satisfying when I have helped someone and they are happy. The most challenging aspect of my job is the system that is slow.

Telecommunications

I am currently Employed as a Functional Manager Engineering (Open Serve) and have studied Electrical Engineering (N6) By managing the National Transport Network Masterplan on company Roadmaps as per footprint yearly, when need arise and as per customer requirements. We build the Core Network by expanding the existing, build the new network for capacity upgrade as per deliverables to meet customer needs by ensuring that network rollout targets are met. We plan, Build and Integrate systems into the network. Previously i worked as Transmission Specialist (Vodacom Business and Implementation) Designing and Planning of Fibre, Transmission and Wireless mediums, Core and Data by maintaining scope of work. And plans. Manage Projects Resources based on Technical Environment. Liaise with Internal and External Customers. I like participating in activities that enhances my knowledge and capabilities. Bill of services and Materials, as build document.

Excellent career move

I hold a National Diploma in Electrical Engineering. I was employed by Telkom SA from 1998 until 2015, when I was retrench by Telkom SA . I am currently not working. I have learned AWS Certified Developer Associate and also certified AWS Certified Developer Associate . I have attended TOGAF 9.1 course , I am also certified in TOGAF 9.1. I have obtained Cisco Certified Network Professional Voice, Cisco Certified Network Associate, Cisco Certified Network Associate Voice, and Cisco Certified Design Associate( All Cisco Courses expired on 19 June 2018). I have also attended courses on Basic Route and Switches. I was employed at Telkom S.A as Operational Specialist. My responsibilities include assisting in networking performance management. My core deliverables however are in the monitoring and evaluation aspects of the Network Performance Management..

Pros: Better for promotion.
Cons: Long working hours.

Good condition

my daily job was to install fiber connection,configuration of router and driving.i like to share more challenge with my co-workers if there is something that I dont understand.i learn that customer how to treat customers.i enjoy to have a meeting with my colleagues and management to discuss about daily challanges.

Eager to grow technical

I am Someleziwe Lugongolo, am 26 year old black female. I hold national diploma in Information Technology and Cisco certicate. Am willing to take any IT junior position within any South African. Am a team player and willing to learn. I enjoy working technical environments. The most challenging aspect in any job is when growth is hindered.

Good learning experience.

I am a 24 young dedicated, reliable and accurate person. I have completed a National Diploma in Electrical Engineering, currently working for a Telecommunication company. My duties as a worker are installation, repairs and maintenance of optic fibre and copper lines of which it interesting and I am learning alot as a person. Punctuality is my priority and I am always willing to learn new skills in a working environment.

Pros: Great opportunity to grow.
Cons: Under contract.

Good company

Since I'm I love solving problems my job gives me the opportunity to think as to how best to solve certain problems,the workers here we like family as we have to communicate every -hour...what I've learnt from this company is team work and the ability to look at a problem as important no matter the working conditions

Excellent learning curve

I was in project Management department, therefore I was a project coordinator. Our supervisor would get so many projects and distribute them among us. My day to day job was to make sure my project gets completely so I had to track it using project scheduling tool and other softwares. I had to follow up on the building guys and had to makesure they did a proper job. If the job was done by contractors I had to makesure they get paid for their labour. From there then I close the project. I learnt how to communicate with different people and with their different personalities. I learnt being patient and to believe in team work.

Pros: Great opportunity for young people
Cons: Very stressful
