Technician

Currently technician at Nissan Rosslyn for Omega Risk Solutions , Responsibilities include but not limited to Electric fence, IP cctc , analogue cctv, gate lock systems various technical services Basically I was unemployed due to a previous company that closed down so I took this position at Nissan through Omega so I can atleast earn a salary than being unemployed, I am not yet covering costs with income but have food on table

Pros: Large international company
Cons: They pay basic as law requires and ownership enrich themselves instead of looking after their staff

Learning curve

The most challenging aspect of the job, is that i dont have a manager who i report to,who assist me.i daily make sure that i am compliant, training are happening, do administration work by myself. liases with consultant to see if i am on the right track. Conduct and review risk assessment and registers.Observations. inccident investigation. Monthly report to the CEO monthly. What i like is that, i ve got good relationship with my co-workers and Mangement. They lesson at all the time. Management also consider my Reccomendatios and make sure that they assist. l ve learned to manage doing things/implementing by my own, still learning and day would like to see myself as a Manager.

Excelent learning curve

It tought me a lot about the quality of the chicken that we eat, by. Mainting a high standard they ensure that the food that they sell to people is healthy. What I do there is making sure that the water used in the factory is clean and the is enough chlorine to wash carcasses, the chlorine level is maintained at 200ppm. I alosi make sure that the facilitise used are kept in good condition for the employess to use while the factory is a pest free area

Liquidation

Corruption Company theft and corruption, unfair to some people who are not recognized by the company. Not a consistent company and but the experience was really good expo.

Good learning curve

I learned a lot from this company, it thought me how to be a team player, how to manage a group of individuals and most of all to focus. Being a quality controller you are responsible for the quality of the products the company sell to people and its one's duty to make sure the best and clean products are dispatched.

Great learning curve

I started working at Omega as an intern in 2016 with no job experience, my contract ended in 2017 and I signed a permanent contract with them I work on creditors accounts and prepare reconciliations for monthly payments I get along with all my co-workers The experience has been good at Omega

Cons: Less promotion opportunities
