Olive and Oil Reviews

Excellent learning curve for my career.

I gave a huge contribution to the business and my highlight was winning 2 awards in 2016 and 2017 respectively as the most promising General Manager and then General Manager of the Year,i ran the best store in the group out of 10.We were scoring above 90% on store audits and mystery shopper reports.Running a good food cost of 35%. The company did recognise me by rewarding me in terms of incentives. Hours were very long however,my day used to start at 10 mostly and end around 11pm to midnight. I had a great relationship with my managers and staff because I have always been firm, fair, stern and consistent. I always get joy and satisfaction in seeing a happy customer and that always gives me the zeal to carry on.

Pros: You get incentivised for producing good results.
Cons: Growth is stunted once you get to being a General Manager

Quick learner and very open to different ideas

preparing for the day, making sure all is in order to have a smooth day with no issues. Positive attitude allows well balanced interaction with other staff members. The interaction with the different personalities is the highlight for my day. The long hours which sometime is draining but the different personalities are what keeps me moving at all times

Pros: different personalities
Cons: long working hours
