Good opportunity and experience I need to get the breakthrough I'm looking for

I work in an office where it is just 3 of us. I have a pretty good relationship with my co-workers as we all understand and respect each other even though I'm the youngest. So far I have learnt a lot about managing one's finances especially when it comes to provident funds and schemes. I enjoy being challenged to complete a task or to meet a deadline. The most challenging thing about my job right now will have to be the fact that progression is not as fast as I had hoped it would be in terms of how much I'm being given to do and how much I'm learning from those tasks. I need a lot more to do so as to grow more. I'm hungry for experience and knowledge.

Pros: Great opportunity to kick0-start my career in the Finance , Investment and Insurance industry
Cons: I don't engage with clients as much as I would like to

Just a guy that love what I do

I am performance driven, Very dynamic and client focused. I have a high level of integrity. I act firmly and decisively. I thrive under pressure. I am intelligent and not scared to take initiative I have good interpersonal skills, Self-Motivated and I am a great team work player. I keep my promise and honor commitments. I am able to take responsibility for my own work as well as being able to demonstrate leadership when required. I keep a balance between a strong urge to get results and still make an effort to understand and respect others. I can become a valuable asset to not only to the section, but also to the organization in the whole due to my experience in general, if given a chance to exercise my capabilities. I can work independently and can deal with confidential professionally. “I LOOK FORWARD TO SHOW OFF MY SKILLS AND CAPABILITIES AS WELL AS TO PROVE I CAN BE AN ASSET TO THE COMPANY.”

Friendly environment, relaxed.

We get along very with colleagues we share knowledge and ideas. There are opportunities for growth but one has to move to a different province. The job is analytical in nature and requires an ability to communicate well, be organized and be able to create and maintain good relationships.

Pros: Flexible hours. Not demanding.
Cons: Long hours. Working alone. Limited growth opportunities.

INTERMEDIARY SALES CONSULTANT

Market the Old Mutual retirement product range via a panel of intermediaries. Make my own appointments, arrange quotations, train brokers on products, help them with presentations, accompany them to clients and presenting at clients. Learn legislation that relates to retirement funds, the importance of networking and building relationships and providing world class service. Setting and meeting goals. Strategising how to reach targets.

Pros: Excellent management and freedom, lots training and upskilling.
Cons: Long hours

Do not enjoy cold calls, however once in front of the client, it is a different story. Like selling to clients and intermediaries. Enjoy managing teams and reaching goals

Great corporate culture

I enjoyed the flexible working hours (starting at 6am finished at 15h00) Interacting with clients and working with people I've learnt retirement planning and investment management

Pros: working autonomously
Cons: managers time constraints
