Working at ODiTY

I have been working the the same company for the last 16 years. During this period the company has been bought out 3 times, the latest being ODiTY (since December) Over the past 16 years the company has gone through a bit of financial issue hence the fact it was sold 3 time also resulting in quit a bit of salary increments being missed resulting in a low current salary. However the highlights were that while working for the same company it allowed me to learn and shape myself into the position I am today. I was sent to ITIL V3 training and many other 1-3 days managerial and team leader courses. I get along with all my colleagues and treat each one with respect as I would like for them to treat me in a similar way. I enjoy the current position I hold as IT manager, I currently manage over 60 staff on IT request with one junior helpdesk tech working with me. This could also be one the most challenging posts I had since I have been employed.

Pros: Great learning
Cons: low salary

Thought me a lot about dealing with different customers

My working experience at ODITY South Africa was good but I felt that I was being treated very unfairly at the company, because I was one of the senior agents. I trained the new agents who struggled with some of the work and I am always there to lend a hand when my fellow colleague is in need of assistance. I have learnt a lot at the company because every customer is not the same, so I have learnt to adapt and my QA manager was a great of help. She always believed in me and always tried to make me smile. I went through a lot as a young person and it even cost mey job at the company but ive learnt that I need to just be professional and not let personal issues get the best of me at my workplace. My overall experience at ODITY was amazing and ill never forget the people who worked there.

Pros: Stepping stone
Cons: Very understaffed

Good for a newbie that wants to gain experience

Not a great company to work for. Managers and team leaders do not have your back. TNot a very good company to work for. Everyone salary is different however they do the same job. Managers and team leaders do not stand behind their team. Overtime is compulsory. They make decision and implement them without making employees aware.

Pros: Working hours is Monday to Friday and every alternative Saturday. Overtime is double pay
Cons: no growth, no incentives, overtime is compulsory, underpaid
