Average work day and environment of a soil scientist

My typical work day consist of one of three things: collection soil samples, compile soil reports and fertilizer recommendations or visiting of clients. I have a close relationship with my line manager, agriculturists and agents (people who keep and sell fertilizer from their depots). I learned how to collect soil samples, how to classify soil (the physical properties of soil), how to analyze and make amendments to soil and how to interact with potential clients. The most enjoyable aspect of my job is the fact that I am open in the field and have the freedom of start working as soon as the sun is out (very earlier than the usual 08:00am shift). Snakes and dangerous organisms can be considered as the most challenging part of my job.

Cons: Dangerous animals in the field

Basic learning curve

The advantages of working at Nulandis is, It is a good company to start your career at, since you will be exposed to new environment and culture , loyal and dedicated employees and they are doing well in the market. The disadvantage is that there's no growth,which makes me wonder what their future plans are, because they never disclose such and they don't invest much in quality education, especially in youth, which might trouble them in the future because technology or ICT as whole is taking over.

Pros: Great company for a starter
Cons: Heavy workloads, back pains are guaranteed.
