IT Technical support

I work a shift of 4 days in day and 4 days out night totaling in 15 days in a month 12 hours per shift of course. It is a very convenient and fun way to work. I have 4 days off between my shifts. I managing incidents for customers - from my server is down ,please replace it, please schedule a webex live troubleshoot or please assign a field engineer to come and install a switch. We are Gold partner with Cisco, we mostly support cisco devices, HP ,Riverbed, etc. (Remote assistance mostly)

Excellent learning curve, liberal work methodology, very good company culture in SA

Typical work day ican be flexible, depending on which countries you will be working with most (e. G. UsA or UK hours). Easy to make friends with co-workers, as the culture is conducive. Learnt a lot about international processes and operations, as well as work culture in nearly 30 different countries across all major regions : EMEA, NAM, APAC, and LATAM. t

Pros: Good company for growth and development, very good exposure to international operations and processes
Cons: Private owned, outside of SA (UK)

Job Security

If you have no ambition and prefer having a very old school mindset you would do very well here .No proper systems in place .HR are clueless and management are more bothered about the bottom line than with any of their staff .You pay for everything from your salary and have no company perks whatsoever

Honest, Team Player, Customer Service focused

This was a great company to have worked for, I do not have any issues working here at all. The only problem I have is that our HR office is not close by and sometimes it can be an issue when you need to get urgent matters done.

Always going the extra mile

Provide hardware and engineer support for our moan clients in the US and UK. I enjoy working with the Cisco engineers to resolve technical issues what the ncustomer is facing.

Great learning curve

This is a busy environment with many exciting responsibilities. Working across various countries and time-lines poses continuous and interesting challenges. Teamwork is of the essence and working with colleagues from different countries and all walks of life is interesting and rewarding. I have learnt much about international trends and best practice relating to property management, leases, contracts, contractor management and the various facets of facility management. I thoroughly enjoyed the challenges of solving issues that seemed insurmountable at the outset. The most challenging part of the position was communication. Time differences as well as language barriers always had to be considered to minimise potential impact on productivity.
