I am an NRF community engagement intern at Durban University of Technology and have gained extenstive experience within the few months that i have been with the company. I deal with alot of organisations in interactive relationship between the organisation and Dut students. I was also a tutor to the 3rd year students in the food and nutrition department, helping lectures with test markings, posters, presentations and assignments. You could say im an all rounder and i have loved each and every minute of this internship.

Good learning curve

My mentor is very smart and tough me almost every thing I know about Java. Then most challenging thing I faced it was when I have to change one of the application they use from swing to JavaFX . A typical work day is mostly writing code both in Java and Python

Pros: people I am working with are very smart and they know what they are doing
Cons: the place is isolated and a museum
