Fast Learner, Hard Worker

The company in about 3 years old, I work from 6 in the morning until 8 at night most days. I am always on call and don't receive a cent overtime I have a great relationship with most of my co-workers but I have an issue with my one male co worker that the superiors just seem to ignore . The male co workers have no boundaries and can do and say as they please without any consequences My MD is great and quite understanding unless I want time off. I usually have to beg for off time a. I enjoy the accounting part of my work, I love working with numbers. The most challenging aspect is getting to all my filing through out the day. There is a lot of paperwork and I don't receive any assistance. I have learnt to work with sage one, working in a different bag manufacturing industry etc.

Pros: My MD is very nice
Cons: Long Working Hours, No overtime, no increase in salary, no opportunity for promotion, no control against how male co-workers behave. Leave rarely gets approved

Terrible working environment

Everyone runs around, nothing is organized or flows well. No one follows the rules and everything is always a problem. When the floor manager gets upset with someone he throws a tantrum swears at them, then ignores them for a couple of days until he has another shouting session at them and then all is well again until he finds another person to complain about. Most staff are friendly but some have quite a lot of issues for example the one admin lady is always grumpy and expects you to give her all the information she asks for immediately, but as soon as you need something you must wait (sometimes days at end) because she is "busy" (on her phone and with personal matters. I must say I have learnt to manage people quite well, to do excel spreadsheets and all the little thing regarding manufacturing. The most challenging thing about my job would be to stay calm when everyone is shouting at one another.

Pros: great co- workers, lot's of young personnel
Cons: ridiculous expectations
