Powerfull brands with strong marketing support.

Procter & Gamble is one of the largest and most progressive FMCG companies in the world. The training is excellent and the opportunities to work across a number of areas in the sales division has been great for learning the many facets of the sales division. What has been very important for me is that the Company operates on a performance based system in terms of promotion and annual salary reviews. We work hard on a daily basis but are well rewarded in terms of salary, annual bonus and dependent on performance we can get offered P & G shares. I enjoy the fact the brands are extremely strang in the market and with shoppers and are well supported with strong marketing activity. I think the most challenging part of the job is the fact that the buyers believe that because you are from P & G you have very deep pockets to spend with them and it is a real challenge to negotiate performance based activity.

Pros: Strong brands with exceptional support
Cons: American thinking in terms of hiring of staff and the way we deal with with the buyers here in South Africa, here it is not a case of take it or leave it.

Excellent relationship with warehouse staff - I have learned new systems and worked from smart offices to warehouse environment .The challenge of understanding evaluating and working with different people The most challenging aspect is to remain truthful/fair to all in a working business enviroment

Not many learning opportunities

Hardworking Trustworthy Loyal Dedicated

I am hard worker, trustworthy and loyal. I enjoy interacting with clients and fellow employees. I am friendly and kind to everyone. I treat people with equal respect he or she being the cleaner or MD. I take challenges as a challenge and strive to beat a challenge. Nothing gives me greater pleasure than a job well done. I have learned through the years that a happy worker is a good worker and a pat on the shoulder for a job well from your fellow employees or employer does wonders.

Good experiential learning

A normal day at work would include five patients, of which was manageable and a little bit hectic. My relationship with my co-workers was fun because we did everything together including eating lunch and birthday celebrations.I have learnt to work and communicate with different types people. People with different personalities. I mostly enjoyed welcoming patients and chatting with to make them feel at ease. The most challenging thing is dealing with patients who don't understand the dental language and the procedures, and also the prices.

Procter & Gamble are one of the global companies who are at the forefront of employee training.

In a nutshell people at P & G work hard but are well rewarded for their efforts. The Company believes in a solid work life balance and all is based on performance versus set objectives. The objectives are always stretch objectives but are achievable with hard work and strategic thinking.

Pros: Reward for hard work and set objective achievement.
Cons: Too many senior managers are changed year after year and do not get the chance to build strong relationships with the senior Directors with the major retailers and wholesalers in the South African market place.

Good fully n nice furnitured office

I would like to work in an open Office,sharing with other employees,And work as a team,with Nice office furniture having my own working station.must have a good relationship with coworkers,to respect and love one other without office gossip.O would allow myself to work Long working hours and learning from other people , because that's what I like most,to learn.I have learnt to have peace amongst the people I work with ,handle pressure and to be supervised inorder for me to learn from mistakes..and to Deal with office challenges.

Pros: It was great,mingling with others,peace around us, praying before starting our day
Cons: Working long hours but it was an experience n Work to other departments when there's projects to finish

Fast learner

As office Admin, doing monthly reports, memorandum, taking of minutes in the meeting, typing of documents, doing presentation of the company, organizing of meeting and agenda, doing bookings for managers, I like treat people the same way making them comfortable in the company I learn to work with different cultures challenge not to have your own car
