Since i have started working at Northam Platinum mine under a contract with murrey and Roberts i have developed a much skill regarding my job descriptions, on electrical site, here u will learn alot about working underground, only the condition are not as good as it we wish they could, but with the experience i have gained for the past 4 years i can assure you that i will do well at your Company

Pros: The company has provided promotions, and opportunities to study in order to develop our own skills.
Cons: Poor supervision

Excellent

They put safety first before production and quality control. They motivate us all the time with education, doing research allow new developments. Good relationship with co-worker and management.

A great learning experience

This is a good company to work for if you can manage to stay longer than a year then you will be well off. The benefits is not bad and the pension fund is very good.

Pros: if you reach your target you get good bonus
Cons: very very long hours

Diesel mechanic

Qualified as earthmoving mechanic, duties service ,maintenance and rebuild of sandvind and aard LHD machines and attend breakdowns.i have good relationships with my co workers, I have come across many challenges and learnt alot from them .I find hydraulic system more interesting and challenging

Pros: advance knowledge and experience
Cons: never loose focus

Good but not exellent Learning curve

I need to be more experient and be treated equally as males for me grow as much in working experience. The company is good For the people with pay but it uses system tax that take all our money back into their pockets.

Pros: Great working relationship with my foreman and artisan
Cons: Long working hours sometimes

Company secretarial is a great career path

I really enjoy the position and has learned a lot. The thing that I enjoy most is that not even one day is the same. I have gained extensive experience at Harmony and Northam and are looking forward to a career in this position. I would love a permanent position with benefits etc. where I can grow and study further.

Cons: daily travelling, not permanent

Leaned a lot at the company on compresses and fridge plant

Working at Northam platinum has tought me a lot of things like working with a group and understanding my co-workers and knowing how to deal with work place disagreements , and being a team player , most difficult was working on the fridge plant and had learned a lot about fridge plant equipment and working on substation

Pros: Greatest opportunity I had there was working as a charge hand or releaving foreman
Cons: Long working hours and working on weekends

Excellent learning curve

- Im a friendly person to work with. -I listen to my team when it comes to work planning. -I am a humbled person. -I ejoy doing my work and learning for new things everyday

I have learnt a lot and willing to learn new things

MY TEAM IS SO SUPPORTIVE AND FRIENDLY .,AP AND ALSO MANAGERS ARE APPROACHEABLE AND THEIR DOORS ARE ALWAYS OPEN FOR EVERY ONE ANY LEVEL.I HAVE LEARNT A LOT AND ENJOYED THE CHALLENGES..
