North West Parks Board Reviews

I have had great exposure when it comes to office administration

Growth is very slow, though it has been a learning curve, being able to interact with guests from all over the country and giving them pleasant service

Pros: Depressing when it comes to awarding individuals a room to groq
Cons: Normal working hours

Good start for learning

since I was given the opportunity to work for the company I have got to learn a lot about conservation which is a very nice experience, the company has a lot of employees so with me working in payroll and benefits I have gained a lot of organisational skills and interpersonal and communication skills. The down side here is that it has a large number of senior employees especially in the executive level so incorporating new ideas/ways into the systems is a challenge.

Pros: great for learning
Cons: no succession planning

Wildlife experience

I am based at Pilanesberg National Park and my job serve as a window of the company. My daily job is to provide tourist with accurate and helpful information about the park and issuing of entrance permits. What I enjoy most about my job is the love of animals the big 5.I have learnt a lot in conservation field which includes the behaviour of animals. We are a very strong team at Pilanesberg whereby we make sure our tourist are happy and safe at all times. The most challenging and interesting thing about this job is meeting new people on a daily basis both domestic and international tourist.

Pros: Opportunity to learn about wild life
Cons: Busy during holidays with long hours of work
