Norse projects Reviews

My experience with Norse projects

It's always an honour to work with Norse projects, the directors of the company are always willing to teach further regardless of your qualifications as long as you have a passion to learn. What I have learned: my experience on site as site engineer, checking levels and quality of the works, drafting reports. And I was transform to a site Quantity Surveyor under the NEC Contract in the project worth of billions the University of Mpumalanga project. Able to measure physical on site and on drawings, costing, how compensation events works, works information and early warnings. It's been a great experience with my co-workers we always work as team. Sometimes we work extra hours to be on track with the program and to meet our deadlines. I always enjoy challenges of NEC Contract.

Pros: Flexible to perform any task in construction
Cons: Working beyond my job description

I am a practical person and have diverse experience across health, safety and environmental management and construction management for a construction company. I possess SAMTRAC through NOSA. (incl: OSHACT, ISO14001, HIRA, Risk Assessment, SHE management programme {objectives & targets} & Monitoring & measurement). I have over eight years’ experience in Health, Safety and Environmental Management, a portion of which was on-site Construction. My three most recent projects are Riverside Office Park Building 1 – 5, which was a 4-storey office building with 3 basements with a construction value R320Mil. University of Mpumalanga, which is the construction and infrastructure of a completely new university campus value to date R580Mil. Ngodwana 25mw Biomass project, which is the first Biomass boiler of its kind in South Africa, we are doing all the civil work valued at R80Mil and 4000m3 of Concrete.

Pros: Very nice working conditions, all nice people working around. Just looking for something new where I can grow. No growth further in my company. Would love to gain new work experience. Also started with my international diploma.
Cons: none

Valuable experience on major construction site

Open site office with a good team spirit amongst employees. On site most of the day, responsible for management of teams and sub contractors. Tight deadlines and a physically demanding day but rewarding to see the finished product.

Pros: A company that cares about their employees
Cons: Long working hours
