Excellent learning environment
Day to day duties: System monitoring Troubleshooting customer issues Open cases with Nokia support team From time to time: Software upgrade/s(done as team as well as individual ) Installation and commissioning I enjoy installations and troubleshooting.
Pros: you don't specialise, get chance to know everything

Nokia exellence
Nokia, so far the only company I've worked for for so many years.That's because the company cares a great lot about their employees.It is a wonderful place to work on, everyone is supportive , from management right till the administrators. A perfect place to spread your wings. I have learned a great lot from different people in different section. What ever information you need, everyone is always willing to help and assist.

Global company with matrix organisation. Flexible and people focused.
A typical work day would consist of f-2-f or webex meetings, coaching of line managers and staff. Recruitment, performance management, facilitation of company programs. Relationship with co-workers was respectful but cautious. I learnt working with diverse groups and appreciation of different cultures and personalities. I most enjoyed travelling to other countries and the availability of modern technology. The most challenging aspects of the job was trying to get line managers to conform to SA's legislation.

Excellent learning curve
It's your typical retail job,hours are hectic.Ofcourse working under different companies at a time becomes a strain,change of management,change of commission structures however overall I've learnt of the diversity of people and the actual diffences between similar devices

Gained alot of experience
Working at Nokia allowed me to explore other opportunities within the company, they like like to upskill their staff and a pleasure to work with co-workers. I learnt to understand plans and quantify them, I was also allowed the opportunity to sit with clients and contractors within the negotiating phase of the project. The most challenging part was not knowing where you stand within in the company. It was more who you knew than what you knew unfortunately.

Exposure
Very flexible, proactive and work closely with the customer daily and also work closely with the team internally. Learn new things every day e.g tools, systems, financial policies and etc..

Lots of interesting processes and systems to learn
Extremely busy environment with emphasis on prioritising. Work responsibilities are different and varies everyday so does the challenges. Deadlines are pertinent to overcome and with excellent teamwork and cross pollinating job functions success is accomplished more often than not. I have not worked in this telecommunications industry and so I have learnt many functions and systems. I love learning new systems and getting to master them so this was challenging and enjoying.

Great opportunities for new recruits
Work hours very flexible. A lot of travelling. Very diverse in terms of nationalities and different cultures. First to know about new technologies. Great opportunities to create career highlights.
