Transaltions from Afrikaans to English has been a great learning curve
It enhances your Afrikaans and improves your writing skills on a daily bases because everyday is a learning experience, when it comes to a complex language such as Afrikaans.My relationship with co-workers are phenomenal because i get along with everyone, and do not base the amount of years Ive been at the company to that of new comers because everyone is treated as my equal. I have learnt to be patient, to be accurate and precise as well as listen inventively as to what is being said, because one error could throw a synopsis off completely. I enjoy the friendships i have accumulated over the years Ive been at the company and how i am able to related with with different people from different backgrounds and up bringing on a daily basis. Scratchy stations often hinder what your trying to type so some synopsis may come across as half logged.
Pros: The hours as there is much to do in the monring before my shift

It's an okay company
Flexible working hours. There a great people to work with. It's not an ideal company to work for because there is no opportunity for growth. The pay is really less, I can say it's peanuts for lack of better word.

Fast paced environment
Fun but monotonous I think sometimes they don't promote deserving candidates so they end up treating others strange and they en so I guess if they can work on that, everything will be better d up leaving

Great learning experience about the media
I have been with the company for about six month now. I do media monitoring on a day to day basis taking care of different brands. Updating clients about any exposure they’ve had on the broadcast media daily

A good learning curve.
The company has really great employees, with excellent opportunities for learning. The MD of the company, however, is rather cruel to his employees. It's an emotionally challenging environment to work in, but the work itself is interesting and ever changing.

The work is repetitive and there is no growth My relationship with co workers are great because i get along with everyone I have learn that Afrikaans is a very complex and perplex language I enjoy the gathering we have most Fridays with the sales team

Good learning curve
A typical day in my position includes not only scanning the digital broadcast channels for media that is relevent to a particular client. Following that analyse at to whether the information listed is relevent. I possess comprehensive knowledge of media monitoring; scanning the media for coverage.

Duties
Summarizing and rewriting news bulletins, talk shows, business programs, sports shows and interviews into a readable synopsis that contains key information. Ensuring accuracy of spelling, grammar and contextual content of synopses. Accurately translate broadcast coverage from African Languages into English. Completing daily priority work according to set times. Undertake live listening/logging of sports shows and news and be well versed with brief information of existing and new clients

Ok
It's chilled I guess, it's good as a stepping stone to the job market.people don't last long there hence the stepping stone part. I personaly want to leave because there is no room for growth...in the meantime am grateful for the job I have.
