Very good learning curve in retail development and shopping centre design and construction

A typical work day starts with a site walk monitoring progress, quality and accuracy. Mid morning announces the arrival of the owner of the company, where he changes operations that had been meticulously planned. The result is loss of production and material loss. Construction plans are not adhered to and ad-hoc changes to the building are made regularly. I have good relationships with my co-workers, and employer. The employer's work method and approach to site safety is challenging. I have learnt the relationship in designing shops, tenant needs and landlord wants. I enjoy the coming together of all trades and final hand over of a completed project, and seeing the tenant operating. The relationships and decision making between family members is very challenging, as they don't agree on most levels. The result is delays in construction and achieving quality products.
