One of the biggest learning curves in my career

I have learnt to work in a very pressurized environment where planning, quality assurance, time management, paying attention to detail was of the essence and self management. I had a great working relationship will all the internal and external clients as it is vital as we all worked towards the same mission and goals. As a mother and a wife, I have learnt that is very important to keep a fine balance in ones life between your career and your personal needs.I have a passion for administration, coordinating and quality assurance. The most challenging part of my job was working away, working too long hours and working almost every weekend. It is not that I do not want to work overtime or that I cannot work overtime but I have now learnt that one should find that balance in ones life and work and live according to that.

Pros: Learnt a lot about myself and managing other people over the past five and a half years. I have been given the opportunity to grow and to excell in what I am good at.
Cons: Long hours, working away and not having that balance

Talent attraction development and retention strategist

My role entails internal and stakeholder cordinatuon to ensure success of the projects. Responding to client needs and setting up targets and monitoring progress on a daily basis. I supervise 4 senior training officers based in two provinces and I senior train I g administrator based in Johannesburg. This has sharpened my business acumen and people management skills and the ability to proactively deal with training related and project managemt related quality coat and time management ssues. My best part of the the job is seeing the trained people being able to apply their knowledge via the reviews I get from clients. The most challenging aspect is juggling around varying stakeholder reds daily and the speed at which one has to respond.

Pros: Great opportunity for growth in the ETD space and networking and meeting new people daliy.

Good start working place and I have learned a lot about work place environment

Working at Networx gave me the opportunity to learn how workplaces operate. It was great working with my colleagues because everyone was really friendly. It was fun going to exhibitions and motivating school learners. What I didn’t enjoy was that us interns didn’t really have much to do.

Cons: Not so much work to do

Excellent learning curve

Good company and great opportunity curve and deals with lot of things that gives someone opportunity to grow and learn more things about education industry. Team work is important and management is really good with their employees treating them with respect .
