Many Opportunities, but it is mostly about who you know, not what you know!

In a big corporate like Nedbank, there are Pros and Cons being an employee. The pros are FBT rates on Homeloan and Vehicle Asset Finance, reduced banking rates, personal leadership development, learning and development, and getting exposure to many different aspects of running a business. The cons are the DTI numbers, being a white South African Male, open positions advertised internally are actually harder to get filled with internal staff, and seemingly get filled with new external appointments or contractors. Corporate politics are a major factor of your day to day employment life. Overall, I am proud and grateful to be a FTE with Nedbank.

Great Organisational Culture

It's a great place to work. It is an environment that is inclusive and accommodates, culture, age, gender, religion, sexual orientation, disability...etc. The organisation encourages collaboration and cross-functional team work. I have learnt many skills here including reporting, data analysis, financial reporting.

Pros: great employee benefits
Cons: work-life balance can be compromised
