I have banking experience

I am a dedicated Black Male Employment Equity Candidate who holds a Masters in Business Leadership (MBL) and a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom). I have worked for reputable companies like Investec Private Bank, Absa Group and Nedbank Corporate and Investment Banking divisions. In my carrier to date, I have been involved in new client acquisitions, developing lending products, building financial modelling and managing credit risk for both high networth individual and corporate clients. I have been involved in project finance, credit guarantees, project management, preparing and presenting credit reports to credit risk committees, corporate and global payments. I currently work for Nedbank CIB as a Product Development Manager for the Global Payments and foreign Currency accounts.

Excellent learning curve

It was amazing working for Nedbank. I learnt a lot and gained a lot of experience and education. It's a friendly and open environment. Working for Nedbank has been amazing and refreshing. Management is supportive and encouragingly amazing. Everyone is more like a family and it helps when there are disputes or disagreements. The hours are long sometimes but it's all for the deadline.

Learning everyday

A typical day varied from day to day. Firstly morning meetings to touch base on the daily activities. Being in a financial institution the client and service was our biggest and important focus. Communication is key and opening up to other colleagues ideas and suggestions was critical. Listening and understanding other people's concerns and issues is key. Working with people is what I enjoy mostly about my job. Challenges happen in any workplace, it's how you handle it and change it to a positive

Great working industry

Its such a great place to in and it allows u to grow even though it takes long but we all know you need to work hard to grow.and also gives you opportunity to work wf different stakeholders that way you not only focused on the amdim side but also other sides nd thats were the growth starts.you will face challenges when it comes to turnarounds times and deadlines.
