Excellent learning curve

- Typical work day Day to day running of incident and projects allocated to - Relationship with co-workers Interact with relative ease as I have a vibrant team that are open to knowledge sharing. I also interact with different stakeholders as I'm in charge of Change Advisory Board (CAB). I have to manage expectation in terms of delivery of all incidents - Learnt I have learned that working with a highly motivated team meets delivery and expectations of stakeholders. However the spirit of motivation has to be maintained and not deflated. -Enjoy most I enjoy being challenge in different projects and teams. That makes me to thrive for excellence. - The most challenging aspect of the job Having to manage not meeting delivery (production date) as we are more delivery based. If not meeting the date motivation to all parties impacted will have to be send and explained.

Learning Curve

Its a great company to work. However i was working contract there and needed more time. Relationship with collegues was incredible and it was always team work. I enjoyed everything about the company.

Pros: I was hoping to be permanent

The organisational mandate and mission is the driver of employee engagement.

NSFAS is an organ of state tasked with facilitating government funding for poor and working class students. Given the importance of its mission, it is a self-fulfilling experience to be part of this historical mission and hence it is great to be part of it to contribute to this historical mission.

Pros: Great opportunity to serve your society.
Cons: Long working hours

Learning new skills

A typical date at work would be me engaging with external stakeholders on the various social media platforms. I get along with my colleagues very well however when I am in work mode I prefer to keep to myself .The most challenging part of the job is trying to please everyone however that is not possible as we are unable to reach every single person when we are on the outreach programmes to carry out the said task. I have learnt patience while in this position. I enjoy travelling all over the country to meet and engage with our stakeholders.

Excellent learning curve

I had the privilege of working within a great team of data analyst and learnt a lot from them. Also had the opportunity of working on some complicated projects considering that the data lacked integrity. Each tasks I was assigned to was challenging and gave me the opportunity to dig deep into the data, trying to make sense of it.

Pros: Learning how not to do things
Cons: Only 6kms away from my house

Eye-opener into loans and bursaries

I found it very interesting as I learnt about the importance of the student when it comes to loans and bursaries and the importance of keeping records. The importance of working as a teams and the frustrations of people not being prepared to appreciate the effort you put in to make things easier for them. I don't generally have a typical work day as I am the one people come to when they are stuck with a problem - from looking for bursary forms to figuring out why the printer won't work. Jack of all trades. I love that my day is not the same every day as I get bored quickly and my current work keeps me on my toes at all times.

Pros: I am busy with different work all the time.
Cons: Not being appreciated

Good place for a person who wants to work for the public

The company is a fast paced company. Where a lot of pressure this put the employees for a good course. To make sure that students lives are made easier
