Good day, I am Jason Richard de Andrade, I have lived in South Africa all my life. I have a Portuguese(European) passport as well, as my father is Portuguese. I completed schooling and went into the engineering trade, I have always enjoyed working in the mechanical world of engineering. I currently work for National Oilwell Varco (NOV) for the past 4,5 years as a Field Service Technician (FST), I have had jobs for them in many different places in the world. I do enjoy working for them but looking to relocate out of South Africa and looking for new opportunities. I am a honest person and take pride in my work and in what I do, I am eager to learn new things and is always looking to better myself. Hope to hear back from you.

Experience

As someone with over five years of experience in a similar capacity I am confident that I could fulfill the position. Also, I would love the opportunity to learn and grow with such a prestigious organization as XYZ Industries. Through my previous experience I have cultivated my planning, organizing, and procuring abilities. I have also had experience with ensuring compliance with company policies where deliveries and quality are concerned. My personable character and business savvy helps me to develop strong relations with clients and vendors, which I have utilized to both enhance orders and negotiate pricing on needed materials. In addition, I am very organized and task oriented, which allows me to complete different tasks simultaneously and increase efficiency. Given the chance I know that I can prove myself to be a quality addition

Excellent Company to work for

It was a pleasure to work under my supervisor and on my own everyday Had a good relationship with my co workers and learned a lot from them How to as team and on my own I enjoyed traveling and Standby duties Most challenging was to fix problems of all products on my own or as a team in worst case scenario

Good place to learn

Most projects require us to work as a team, while some required one technician. We work on oil rigs and Most projects require us to work as a team, while some required one technician. We work on oil rigs and customers site. site.

Specialist work on offshore drilling equipment

Interact with all team members on a daily basis. This built team spirit and overall morale during the 12 hour 6 days a week schedule. Show appreciation for hard work and make the working conditions as comfortable as possible. We finished a multi-million rand project on time. This required a huge effort from everyone on the team and all the different departments within the company.

Pros: Great opportunity to learn of offshore drilling equipment
Cons: Working 13-14 hours per day, 7 days per week, away from family

Good learning opertunities

Work days are 12 hour days, 7 days a week, when away from home and when at home you stay at home mostly. Work with co-workers are good on site. Learnt mostly about Siemens S7 PLC fault finding and programming. Get to travel to many places. Most challenging is the fast paced environment to repair/ get equipment back to working state.

Pros: Travel. Good salary when away. Meet many different people.
Cons: Family time.

It's been marvelous, due to the team that I work with and the team work we do

It's a great place to work and learn from.I had the opportunity to learn how to program and read CNC Milling machine. The company is a Oil and gas company that manufactures and repairs Rigs and Drill pipes.
