National Energy Regulator of South Africa Reviews

I like research and inquiring more skills

Good day I like to research and here other people s ideas, like i should learn a new thing on a daily basis. My relationship with my co-workers is good as we work as a group and help each other as and when one of us is not around. I had learn how to work under pressure and prioritizing my tasks, considering my Manager s requirements and reporting. I enjoy meetings where we given opportunity to indicate how we see things in another angle as well as putting new innovative ideas on the table. The most challenging aspects of the job is when you are required to compromise the international security standards to suite the culture of the organisation. but what i normally do is to try to bring an education to the staff members and management until they understand though it will as well delaying the progress of the tasks that need to be achieved.

Pros: Researching and studying
Cons: Long working hours and forgetting to eat

God

Good place to work for with exposure to different technical financial abilities and working with economists and engineers. I ahd opportunities to make presentations to the board and committes that assist in the regulatory decision making vital to the environment and energy sector of South Africa.

Pros: Tight working deadlines
Cons: Good remuneration

I have learned to communicate with stakeholders,to engage with them on a different level.

Working at NERSA has been a learning curve.I am able to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders and can assist with electricity complaints.I have a good relationship with my colleagues and we always achieve our goals. We constantly receive feedbacks from our customers on the services we have rendered to them.I enjoy going to participate at Exhibitions and Public Hearings because that is where I get to interact with people and communicate with them on a different level. The challenging aspect of the job is sometimes not having information to assist our clients. Our website is not updated as it should.

Pros: Attending meetings and Exhibitions
Cons: Growth
